Diwali is the major festival of Hinduism. It spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, knowledge over ignorance and hope over despair. Diwali, the festival of light, brings a curious mix of memories and feelings to the visually impaired girls who live in the Blind Welfare Society. The blind girls of our hostel was celebrated the occasion with full of courage and enthusiasm.
They have performed traditional pooja of goddess Lakshmi and lord Ganesha on the occasion. New dresses, Blanket and sweets were distributed to the visually challenged girls residing in the hostel. Many songs were sung by the girls on the eave of the festival of light.
